RESEARCH AND CREATIVE ACTIVITIES SUMMARY
Primary research focus is on transplant immunology and the development of sustainable xenotransplantation systems. These efforts include fundamental research into the role of various immune regulatory cells, include regulatory T cells and B cells, in the development of allograft tolerance and large animal studies to understand the impact of genetic modifications on the survival of kidney and liver porcine allografts. Beyond basic science research, I also do research on the equitably distribution of transplant allografts, specifically liver allocation, as well as disparities in healthcare and bias.
